George brings over twelve years of experience within the financial and investment counseling industries to Guardian Capital Advisors LP. At GCA, George is responsible for the development, implementation and management of portfolios for private clients, foundations, philanthropies and foundations.

Prior to his move to GCA, George worked as a hedge fund analyst with the Bank of Bermuda and then as a portfolio manager with HSBC Private Bank in Bermuda for high net worth and family office clients. George has been directly involved in the selection process for third party managers for long only international fixed income and equity funds. He began his career as a credit analyst and credit portfolio manager for IBM Canada prior to his move into the area of investments.

George has an undergraduate degree from the University of Western Ontario and an Honours Bachelor of Commerce Degree – Finance Major from the University of Windsor. George has a professional Financial Risk Management degree awarded by the Global Association of Risk Professionals and is completing a Masters in Financial Economics with the University of London, UK.

He is a member of the Toronto Society of Financial Analysts and the Association for Investment Management and Research (AIMR). George is also a former Governor of the Bermuda Society of Financial Analysts.
