Matthew joined Guardian Capital Advisors LP in 2007, bringing with him over ten years of experience in the investment business. Since joining GCA, Matthew has been responsible for development, implementation and management of portfolios for private clients, foundations, and corporations. As a member of the GCA Investment Committee, he contributes to the development of the firm’s strategic and tactical asset allocation decisions. Matthew’s background includes extensive trading experience in equities, fixed income, and derivatives on an Institutional Trading Desk. He has also had the opportunity to develop derivatives applications and overlay strategies to facilitate risk mitigation.
A graduate of the Queen’s University School of Business, Matthew is a CFA charterholder and a member of the Toronto CFA Society and the Market Technicians Association (MTA) in New York. He also holds the designations of Canadian Investment Manager (CIM) and Derivatives Market Specialist (DMS).
